The challenge

Cycle Wild Scotland’s existing website felt dated and needed a stronger visual connection to the sport and the people behind the business.

The presentation of course information also needed attention. Important details were getting lost within long blocks of text, making it harder for visitors to understand the options available and find the information relevant to them.

The brief was to bring the website up to date, give it a more distinctive personality and make its content easier to explore.

The approach

The redesign introduced bolder colours and typography more in keeping with mountain biking as an extreme sport. Fresh photography brought the riding, landscapes and training experience into the presentation.

Consistent page layouts provided a clearer framework for course content. Information previously contained in dense text was organised into distinct sections, helping visitors find key details and understand each course.

Third-party booking forms were incorporated into modals, making them easier to find and complete directly from the relevant pages.

The website was rebuilt using WordPress, Impreza, WPBakery and Advanced Custom Fields.

The result

The redesigned website gives Cycle Wild Scotland a stronger visual presence and a clearer way to present its training and coaching.

The client particularly values how easy it is to see the information. Consistent layouts help visitors understand the courses available, while the placement of booking forms makes the next step easier to find.

The finished site brings the business’s personality and practical course information together in a more confident, organised presentation.
